Micah Leinbach is the founder of Get Outside Bus and has spent more than a decade developing collaborative outdoor programs with nonprofits, schools, municipalities, and community organizations.
A Wilderness EMT, wilderness guide, Level 2 Leave No Trace Instructor and State Advocate, he also speaks nationally about outdoor access, public policy, and building more inclusive approaches to outdoor experiences.
Samira Payne

Samira Payne is a nonprofit and education leader with deep experience advancing equity, strengthening organizations, and expanding access for underrepresented communities.
She supports a national affordable housing network spanning 39 states. She is an Outdoor Afro volunteer leader, and is part of the Get Outside leader network through that partnership.
Saskia Versteeg

Growing up as a tricultural kid in south Texas, Saskia turned to science to learn and share her fascination of her native ecosystems with others.
Now an environmental project developer, she has helped reforest more than 1,000 acres across the United States and is a two-time Udall Award recipient recognized for her environmental leadership.

Jaylyn Gough is a photographer, writer, speaker, and founder of Native Women’s Wilderness, an organization dedicated to elevating Native women and their relationships with the land.
Her work advancing representation in the outdoor industry has included partnerships with major outdoor brands and features in Outside Magazine, National Geographic, and Condé Nast.
Julia Huggins

Julia Huggins is a scientist, educator, and wilderness guide whose career bridges Earth-system science, outdoor education, and science communication.
Now a postdoctoral scientist at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, she has conducted research and taught in remote environments around the world, including Alaska, the Arctic, Patagonia, Antarctica, the tropical Pacific, and the Bay of Bengal.

Taylor Feldman

Taylor Feldman is a collegiate outdoor program manager and wilderness educator with more than a decade of experience leading outdoor programs, including ascents of more than 60 peaks in the U.S. and abroad.
A nationally engaged leader in outdoor risk management and inclusive programming, she is a frequent conference presenter, creator of the Inclusive Outdoor Language Guide, and contributing author to Beneficial Risks: The Evolution of Risk Management for Outdoors and Experiential Programs.

An homage to our founding name, this trailer is a fully mobile canoe program - boats and gear.
Big Red
Retired
The original hero, Big Red served for 7-years and helped us prove the value of a mobile, partnership-based resource and coaching program. It is no longer in service.
Get Outside Leadership Network
Each region with a Get Outside Bus supports a regional board, a bus station, and other local resources. Every year dozens of leaders from across our partners run trips using our system, joining our network and sharing resources.
