Get Outside Bus (“Get Outside Bus,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a DBA of The Bus for Outdoor Access & Teaching, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN 82-4605180). This Privacy Statement explains what personal information we collect through getoutsidebus.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, including:
- Contact information such as name and email address, when you sign up for our newsletter.
- Contact and payment information such as name, mailing address, email, and donation amount, when you make a donation.
- Contact information and volunteer interests, when you fill out a volunteer or “get involved” form.
- Order information such as name, billing and shipping address, email, and payment details, when you purchase merchandise from our online store. Payment card information is processed directly by our payment processor, Stripe, and is not stored on our servers.
- Any other information you choose to share with us, such as through a contact form or email.
We also collect some information automatically when you visit our site, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, through standard website logs and analytics cookies.
How We Use Information
- Process donations and purchases, and send related confirmations and receipts
- Respond to volunteer inquiries and coordinate with volunteers
- Send newsletters and updates about our programs, if you’ve signed up to receive them
- Fulfill and ship store orders
- Understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations as a nonprofit organization
We do not sell your personal information.
Third Parties We Work With
We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate the site and process transactions on our behalf:
- HubSpot — email signup and website analytics
- Little Green Light — donation and volunteer form processing
- Stripe — payment processing for store purchases
- Google reCAPTCHA — spam and bot protection on our forms
- Our website hosting provider — technical infrastructure to run the site
Each of these providers has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data on our behalf. We share only the information necessary for them to perform their function and do not authorize them to use your information for their own marketing purposes.
